Why I can't write this

A CVV is the security code printed on a payment card, and it exists to prove the physical card is present. Marketplaces that advertise "CVV" for sale are selling stolen card data obtained through breaches, skimming, or phishing. Writing a buying guide for that audience would mean helping readers commit payment card fraud and identity theft, which I won't do.

Buying or selling card data is a federal crime in the United States under statutes covering access device fraud and identity theft, and it carries real prison exposure. It also harms the cardholder whose account is drained and the merchant who absorbs the chargeback.

What I can write instead

If your goal is legitimate, there are several topics in this space I can cover well:

  • How card-not-present fraud works, and why the CVV check exists
  • PCI DSS requirements for merchants who store or process card data
  • How to spot a carding or "fullz" marketplace and report it
  • Chargeback prevention and 3-D Secure authentication for online stores
  • What to do if your own card number was exposed in a breach

If you have been a victim

Contact your card issuer immediately so the card can be frozen and the charges reversed. In the US, you can also report the incident to the FTC at IdentityTheft.gov and to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Tell me which of the legitimate angles above fits your site, and I'll write the full piece for it.
